What happens during an off-track repair
First, stop using the door and unplug the opener — running an off-track door can bend panels and turn a repair into a replacement. When we arrive, we secure the door, relieve tension where needed, and guide the rollers back into the tracks.
Then we look for why it came off in the first place. Common causes are a car or bumper hitting the door, a worn or broken roller, loose track brackets, a snapped lift cable, or an opener that kept pushing when something was in the way. Fixing the cause is what keeps it from happening again.
We straighten or replace bent track sections, replace damaged rollers and hinges, re-tighten brackets, and re-align the tracks so they're plumb and parallel. Finally we balance the door, adjust the opener's force and travel settings, and test the safety sensors.
Repair or replace?
Most off-track doors can be repaired. If panels are cracked or badly bent, we'll show you the damage and give you a price for panel replacement and for a new door, so you can choose with all the facts.
